Job Summary / History:
When our community moved into our current building in 2004, we had the goal that our space would help us participate in the life of our local community by being a venue for events and non-profit organizations that were taking part in Kingdom work. We also had a goal of maximizing our space to help financially support our mission.
Over the years we have had some good success in these goals. We’ve hosted our own arts, music and justice based events. We have been able to bless non-profit organizations with good low cost rental space. We have also had the opportunity to bring in financial support to our mission through renting our space to for-profit organizations.
Over the years, it has become clear that for us to maintain the kind of focus we need around the use of our space, we need someone focused on the task of coordinating and running events as well as finding and confirming potential renters.
Therefore, the person who holds this position will coordinate and oversee the use of our space. He/she will work with the staff and volunteers to maximize the effectiveness of The Well’s space to further and support our mission.
The main goals of this position are:
- To rent our space to acceptable organizations and businesses to help financially support our Mission.
- To use our space to bless and partner with non-profit organizations and groups that are doing Kingdom work.
- The successful applicant will work with the Lead Pastor to develop specific goals and strategies around these two key goals.
- To work with volunteers within The Well to help us run our own kingdom focused events such as art shows, concerts, forums, etc.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Sales: Seek out and follow-up leads for rentals from for-profit organizations and non-profit organizations.
- For-Profit Use: Seek out “corporate” uses of our space that would result in income for The Well
- Non-Profit Use: Seek out and partner with Non-Profits in Bucks County that would benefit from using our space at a free or reduced rate. (i.e.
- Run Events: Work with volunteers to run events at The Well related to rentals and special events.
- Help Coordinate Art Shows and Concerts for The Well
- Space Schedule: Work current staff to oversee the general use of our space.
- Maintenance: Work with current staff to oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of our space.
- Cost Structure: Work with Lead Pastor to create and maintain a rental / cost structure for the use of our space (for Non-profit, for profit organizations)
- Raise personal financial support (We provide an excellent training and mentorship program for this responsibility through the Ecclesia Network)
- Attend week long support raising session for the Ecclesia Network (date tbd)
