Children’s Ministry Project

This week in Sunday School we introduced a month long project which they will begin in February.  We will be focusing  on teaching the kids ways to show love to others.  We will be discussing the situation in Haiti and the kids will brainstorm ways they can raise money and awareness of this tragedy.

The children will also be spending time in prayer, reading and discovering what the Bible says about God’s Love…and how we as believers should be spreading God’s Love to others.

Therefore, each week we will encourage the kids to bring in offering that they have earned and put it in a jar that will be counted at the end of the month.

As parents, you play the key role in the spiritual maturity of your child.  We would like to encourage you to continue processing these concepts with your child during the week as well as encourage them to stick with their goals and ideas of how they can help with not only Haiti, but in other situations that occur both internationally and locally.  This could be talking about Haiti and brainstorming more ways that they can help, praying with them, teaching them about God’s control…the possibilities are endless! Thank you so much for your support and involvement in this project!
