Leadership
The Well is led by a Ministry Leadership Team (MLT). This team is made up of Pastors/Elders, Community Leaders, and Mission Leaders. We value a team-led model which reflects our belief that personal accountability and shared responsibility lead to a balanced leadership and focused mission. Our goal is to be a team of people who are led by the Spirit of God and represent our entire community. The Ministry Leadership Team is a diverse group of people, gifted for leadership, passionate about being servants, and excited about leading in the model presented in Ephesians 4.
Pastors
At The Well, our pastors serve as our church elders, and are appointed for indefinite terms of service. Our mission, as a church, is to be a community formed by Christ, exemplifying His message through the way we live. This is one reason why each of our pastors serves in a bi-vocational role. We believe that God calls us to live just as Christ lived; interactive with the world around us.
Todd Hiestand
(Staff)
Todd brings a heart for people and a passion for the Church. Todd serves on staff in a part-time paid role where he oversees and facilitates the mission of The Well. His desire is to share the message of Christ in tangible ways and to inspire others to do the same. He also works as a freelance webdesigner and a barista at Starbucks. You can read Todd’s blog here.
Gary Alloway
(Staff)
Gary serves on staff and also serves in a part-time paid role. Along with general pastoral leadership, he helps keep our focus: having a concern for the poor and being a community that is locally involved. Gary is currently leading our church plant in Bristol, PA – Redemption Church.
Phil Wood
Phil, a full-time shipping manager for a local wholesale nursery, serves as our worship pastor. Phil has been around The Well as long as anyone in our community and gives our leadership a strong sense of stability and wisdom.
Community Leaders
Community Leaders are members of our community who are involved in various aspects of leadership at The Well. These leaders have giftings related to specific areas of the church’s mission, and have committed to seek God’s guidance on how to help the community best live out what it means to be a church in and for the world. These leaders are appointed by the pastors, confirmed by the community, and serve a three year term.
Shanna Cummings
Shanna is a stay-at-home mom who brings to our community a strong call to discipleship. She is passionate about living out the gospel through everyday relationships. She is serving the first year of her term with the MLT.
Patti Pearson
Patti is a licensed counselor and currently serves in the pregnant and parenting teens program in a local high school. She holds a MA in Counseling from Philadelphia Biblical University and is the proud grandmother of two amazing kids.
Anna Pelger
Anna Pelger, a graduate of Eastern University, serves The Well by being a passionate voice for the poor, the oppressed and fringe of society. She heads up most of our justice centered ministries and partnerships.
Mission Leaders
Our mission leaders are people from outside of our church community who have a vested interest in The Well and a heart for its mission, These leaders bring an “outside perspective” and sense of wisdom to our leadership team.
Davis Taylor
Davis brings to our team a great sense of wisdom, experience and leadership expertise. He is an active model of servant-leadership and desires for others to know the freedom of Christ. He is founder of TAI Incorporated in Yardley, PA, and author of The Imperfect Leader.
