Get Involved

We’re going to be honest here. Getting involved in a complex community isn’t a simple four step process.  True community takes a great deal of time and effort and then needs to be followed by more time and more effort. We know that some people connect with others right away and for others it takes time to build trust and relationships.

As a church, we are committed to welcoming everyone into our family. We desire to be a warm, open and inviting community.

So, how does one get involved? We’ve already said that its not a simple process, but we don’t want it to be totally mystery either.

Here are a few suggestions as you begin integrating into the life of our community.

Talk to people
We know this sounds simple and kinda remedial. But it’s important. We promise to do our best to seek you out, but we’d love to have you seek us out too.

Invite or be invited
You are not going to “get involved” by only coming on sunday mornings. Sunday’s can be slightly chaotic and it’s hard to really connect. Take a risk and invite someone over for lunch or grab a bite at Panera after church with someone.

Come to one of our community events
We do a lot of regular and random events like our Homeless ministry, small groups, community dinners, special events, picnics…the list is long. Take a risk and come on out.

Like we’ve already said, we do our best to be a welcome, warm and hospitable community. But it’s not easy being part of something so unique. Give it time, put in a little effort, give it more time and then see what happens. Amazing relationships aren’t built in a day  or even a week or two.  But they are very, very rewarding.
